Chamberlain Performing Arts began the Shining Stars Program in January 2005 and is continuing to expand it. The Shining Stars Program is designed for children in the community that have special needs so they too can have the opportunity to move and explore their personal creativity in a safe and nurturing environment. With a highly qualified instructor who has a Bachelors Degree in dance and a Masters Degree in movement therapy and uses inventive curriculum that is appropriate for the needs of these exceptional students. These creative movement classes take place weekly at the studios of the Chamberlain School of Performing Arts and serve approximately fifteen children each semester between the ages of 3 and 14.
