Each year since 1991, Chamberlain has produced a free performance of "The Nutcracker." Those attending are served by over 100 North Texas non-profit and social service organizations from Collin, Dallas, and Denton, Counties. These organizations serve the following groups: special needs children and adults, the homeless, substance abuse treatment centers, and the elderly. In the past, our audience has included guests from CASA, Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center, AIDS Services of North Texas, the ARC, Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County and Journey of Hope. We have also hosted Head Start, special education students, and Title I students from Plano, Allen and McKinney. For the past three years, attendance has averaged 1500 people at this benefit performance.
